Sorry I missed last month's posting round. My dog died, so looking at these cute puppy photos here are saddening. Anyway, as the title (not clickbait) suggests, we at The Monthly Puppy are unleashing the
Pom Pom Palace series, a group of 7 tales regaling the Great King Pom Pom and his numerous adventures. A new chapter of the story will be published each weekend, and it is my pleasure to kick off this novel. Here you go!:

Book 1: Hissland
Introduction:
It was a normal day in the land of Woofenbark, for the sky was clear, and the
sounds of the haggling merchants could be heard across the royal grounds. But for
the king, Pom Pom the Magnificent, the day was anything but normal. That day, other
royal dogs from around the world came to see if their daughters were worthy of
becoming the queen of the most prosperous land on the planet of Animalia. Little did they
know, the most ferocious feline general of the land of Hissland, the Siamese Slayer, was
planning an attack to end Pom Pom and his Kingdom.
